POWER: Final Season Promo

Working with director Matt Linnell, Christopher Webb and his team at FX WRX created the final season promo for POWER on Starz. This was executed entirely with in-camera effects, including the title text.

Using practical light boxes mounted above a faux cobblestone street, the titles were reflected on the wet stones and puddle surfaces. Super slow motion action was captured by hand-operating a dolly and jib through choreographed moments, as bullet casings fell through the frame. 

The creative and technical process for this sequence included location research on New York City streets, testing with full scale mock-ups of each title text reflection, and photographing the Manhattan Bridge for an overhead light box reflected on the water in-camera.
